Qo-tëi Fêqê (/qo/ /ˈtëi/ [thin (slender); slim] [chorus]) is a temperate Town located in the Gêngípíêpíêè Zone of the Union of Engineers.

The name Qo-tëi Fêqê is derived from the Iron Elvish language, as Qo-tëi Fêqê was founded by Xenocanus Zêpî, who was culturaly Iron Elven.

Climate

Qo-tëi Fêqê has a yearly average temperature of 23°C (73°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a pleasant 25°C (77°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 22°C (71°F). Qo-tëi Fêqê receives an average of 265 cm/y (104 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the spring. Qo-tëi Fêqê covers an area of nearly 4 km2 (1 mi2), and an average elevation of 4280 m (14041 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Qo-tëi Fêqê was founded durring the late 12th century in spring of the year 1092, by Xenocanus Zêpî. The establishment of Qo-tëi Fêqê was plagued by a lack of willing colonists. After attempts to pay people to resettle failed Xenocanus Zêpî struck deals with nearby nations and communities to establish Qo-tëi Fêqê as a prison colony.

Qo-tëi Fêqê was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the late 12th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Qo-tëi Fêqê is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature delicute timber framework hidden behind layer upon layer of finly ground plaster bleached to an almost glossy white sheen, with green clay tiled roofs and decorative brass-leafed trim. Even the smallest, poorest looking structures appear to be expencive thanks to the extreem elegence of the organic shapes and paterns going into their lofty, spire-y, vagly gothic designs. The more well off folks live in identicle homes, save for even shiner trim and a more whimsical appearance to their structures flowing forms.

Qo-tëi Fêqê is buildings are located arround a single narrow flagstone mainstreet which forms a clockwise spiral to give the town a over all circular shape. The town emploies a series of defencive earthworks, spikes, and fences to provide some protection against wild beasts and smaller groups of intelegent foes. Qo-tëi Fêqê's minimaly adiquite are in an unremarkable state. To some, this is the ideal sate for defences to be in. In need of absoutly nothing, and ready to serve the town as needed.

Qo-tëi Fêqê seems to be abandoned at first. There are people present, working their trades and going about their business like any community, it’s just they are absurdly quiet. Just as you start to think there might be trouble, you see most of them are smiling, quietly exchanging words with a friend, or simply enjoying the day as they work. It reminds you of an evening at home as everyone dined, having run out of things to talk about and embraced the savory meal before them.

Qo-tëi Fêqê has a Highwayman's Guild, which is tasked with maintaining the roads and highways leading into town as well as keeping them safe for travelers.

Qo-tëi Fêqê has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Qo-tëi Fêqê's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.

Qo-tëi Fêqê has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands.

Qo-tëi Fêqê has a Guild of Roadworkers, who are responsible for maintaining the roadways and public paths within town. They also have the duty of enforcing all civil laws relating to the roadways.

Qo-tëi Fêqê has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Cultural Notes

Qo-tëi Fêqê's chapel was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by grandeur of scale, simplicity of geometric forms, dramatic use of columns, and a preference for blank walls. This design ethos extended to re-imagining earlier styles of structure to create them anew, with a similar overall look and feel to one another..

Due to the actions of local Kami, winter is short in Qo-tëi Fêqê.

The Rat near Qo-tëi Fêqê are known to be almost tame, such that they can be put to domestic use.

Qo-tëi Fêqê's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in summer and involves bloodletting to channel Illusion energies of tier 2 via recitation of scripture.
